Situation 2026

Situation 2026 is an event bringing together diverse leaders and innovators to explore how AI can address Indo-Pacific development challenges by 2031.

Hosted by the Development Intelligence Lab with DFAT and the Canberra Innovation Network, this event aims to bridge the gap between AI innovation and real development practice across the Indo-Pacific.

It will feature a $10,000 pitch competition, a solutions showcase of practical AI tools already operating across the region, and a ministerial keynote from the Hon Dr. Anne Aly MP.

Showcased tools include early warning systems for climate and disaster risk, community voice and trust measurement, searchable policy and evaluation knowledge bases, and AI literacy resources for under-resourced contexts.
