Where to go for help with AI harms

Support available across the Australian Government on AI-related harms

AI can create risks and harms for people, businesses and communities. These harms can affect online safety, cyber security, privacy, consumer rights, workplace rights and human rights.

Different Australian Government agencies provide support depending on the issue. This page helps you find the right place to get information, guidance or report a concern.

Online safety

The eSafety Commissioner (eSafety) is the Australian Government’s independent online safety regulator. eSafety’s purpose is to help safeguard Australians at risk of online harms and to promote safer, more positive online experiences.

You can go to esafety.gov.au to:

  • report online abuse including cyberbullying, adult cyber abuse, image-based abuse or illegal and restricted online content
  • find online safety information and resources for the community
  • find regulatory information for industry.
