AI in Australian Business: survey

The National AI Centre is conducting a long-term study into how Australian organisations are using AI.

The National AI Centre is conducting a survey to learn about how Australian organisations are using AI. The survey is part of an ongoing national study collecting information directly from Australian organisations, including businesses of all sizes, not-for-profits and social enterprises.

It aims to build a national picture of AI use, including which tools are used, what value AI is adding, what’s stopping people from using AI, and how AI use is changing over time.

How to participate

  • Register your interest to participate by completing the online form.
  • Registrants are selected to participate in survey waves, which happen each quarter.
  • If your organisation is selected for a survey wave, you will receive an email invitation containing a survey link. Not all registered participants will be surveyed every quarter.
  • Each survey wave is designed to be brief and should take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
  • Over time, your participation will help track how AI use is evolving across Australia.

How responses will be used

Survey responses are analysed to identify trends and insights across Australian organisations. We will use this data in our regular AI in Australian Business reporting.

The findings may be used to:

  • understand how Australian organisations are using AI
  • identify common barriers to AI use
  • inform government policy and programs
  • support industry initiatives and business decision-making
  • contribute to future research, reporting and insights on AI use in Australia.

Individual organisations are not identified in reported findings.

Information collected will be handled in line with our Privacy Collection Statement.
